About This Project
Along with our partners, Murphy Brothers Contracting transformed the Ann Manzi Center at The Arc Westchester into a more accessible, welcoming, and versatile facility designed to better serve its community.
The comprehensive renovation involved significant improvements to both the building and its surrounding five-acre property. Exterior upgrades included a new entrance vestibule, a covered drop-off area, expanded parking, and approximately one mile of accessible walking paths connecting the center to its landscaped grounds.
Inside, the project created more flexible spaces for daily programs, social activities, and individuals with varying mobility needs, finished with durable, low-maintenance, accessibility-compliant materials. A new operable glass facade opens directly onto a terraced patio, strengthening the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
A key challenge was completing the renovation while the center remained operational. The project required careful construction coordination to minimize disruption to the facility’s ongoing programs and services.
The completed renovation provides The Arc Westchester with a more functional, accessible, and inviting environment to support the people and families it serves.
