The omnipresent Murphy Brothers recently received the "movers and shakers" award from the largest trade magazine, "Remodeling Magazine," commended for their growth and cited as one of the top 50 contractors nationwide. American Yacht Club members will be pleased with the brothers' efforts to rebuild all the cabanas just in time for summer.

Sean said Murphy Brothers has been accommodating "people's change in lifestyle." For instance, the kitchen/family room has taken the place of large living room and dining room. New technology has also dictated trends in construction. As general contractors, they frequently hire electrical and security systems through televisions, as well as cameras in baby rooms and on home exteriors. Regarding the house size controversy, Sean finds "bigger is better" is the trend. "Me personally, I like a little more land," he admitted.
